What We Do

We provide lifelong education — from the classroom to career — for everyone left behind.

At Stephen Humanitarian Foundation, we don’t just believe in education for children. We believe in education for ALL — children, girls, youth, and adults. Our work follows a person through every stage of life.

HOW WE WORK

1. We Listen: We start by listening to the community.

2. We Enroll: We identify those most in need — children, girls, youth, adults.

3. We Equip: We provide materials, training, and mentorship.

4. We Follow Up: We track progress and share impact with our donors.

OUR 3 CORE PILLARS

PILLAR 1: Foundation Learning for Children & Girls

Ensuring No Child Is Out Of School Millions of children in Nigeria are out of school due to poverty. Girls are the most affected.

What we do:
  • Enroll out-of-school children back into school
  • Provide scholarships, uniforms, school bags, textbooks and writing materials
  • Create safe, community-based learning hubs
  • Special Girls Education Support to keep girls in school and prevent early dropout
  • - After-school tutoring and literacy clubs

Goal:
Every child can read, write, and stay in school.

.

PILLAR 2: Youth Empowerment & Digital Skills From Classroom to Career

A certificate is no longer enough. Youth need skills for the future of work.

What we do:
  • Digital Literacy & Computer Training
  • STEM & Coding Bootcamps for youth
  • Career Guidance, Mentorship & Leadership Training
  • CV writing, interview prep, and job-linkage support
  • Entrepreneurship and small business training for young people

Goal:
Every youth is skilled, employable, and ready to lead.

.

PILLAR 3: Adult Literacy & Livelihood - It’s Never Too Late To Learn

Many mothers, fathers, and traders in our communities never had a chance to go to school. We give them a second chance.

What we do:
  • Basic literacy (reading, writing, numeracy) for adults
  • Vocational skills: tailoring, bead-making, catering, phone repairs, etc.
  • Financial literacy and savings training.
  • Support to start small businesses.

Goal:
Every adult can read, earn, and support their family with dignity.
